4 WEEK SUSPENSION FOR UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT

Wednesday June 29th Tuner race had some challenges on the track that led to frustrations in the pits and a near accident. Race track officials deemed this avoidable. A 4 week suspension has been placed on the tuner driver.

Concerned spectators and track staff witnessed the driver race into the pits out of frustration from a disqualification on the race track. Questionable driving was the call. If the excessive speed and rooster tails in the infield with the race car was not enough, the car driver/owner raced out of his pit stall in his truck towards a group of children at another driver's trailer. We assume he didn't see them initially. Spectators from the infield and grandstands made comments of concerns for the safety of everyone in attendance. The building concern from multiple people raised the question of where do we go from here.

It was deemed a 4 week suspension would be handed down from the Raceway. The driver will receive a certified letter explaining the ruling and if he chooses to return his conduct will be much better, both on and off the track and when talking with track employees.

Our staff and spectators safety and well being comes second to race car driver's. The program can't run with out the efforts of track staff. As a driver at our race track You are expected to act professional, talk politely with all staff members no matter the situation. We will handle these matters in a case by case situation. The best practice for drivers is to be responsible for your actions and don't force us to make a ruling.

Any questions and concerns to this ruling can be direct to Zac by email at zac@fmtraceway.com
