NLMS TO OPEN THE FAIRMONT RACEWAY SEASON
Fairmont Raceway Gears Up for the Exciting Start of the 2026 Dirt Track Racing Season on Friday, April 3rd
Fairmont, MN — The wait is almost over! Fairmont Raceway is thrilled to kick off the 2026 dirt track racing season on Friday, April 3rd, bringing back a night filled with horsepower, hometown pride, and unforgettable racing excitement. The green flag drops at 6:00 PM, launching another action-packed summer of side-by-side competition.
Headlining opening night will be the USRA Northern Lights Modified Series presented by Kevko, showcasing some of the most competitive Modified drivers in the region. Their season debut at Fairmont Raceway is expected to deliver high-intensity, must-see racing from start to finish.
In addition to the Modified Series, fans will also enjoy an incredible lineup of five supporting weekly classes, each bringing its own brand of action to the track:
• USRA Stock Cars – Known for their power, aggression, and door-to-door battles, these machines bring some of the tightest and toughest racing in the Midwest.
• USRA B-Mods – Quick, competitive, and always unpredictable, B-Mods consistently deliver some of the most entertaining racing on the card.
• USRA Hobby Stocks – A fan favorite, the Hobby Stocks combine raw talent and tight competition, making for thrilling finishes every week.
• FMT 4.6L Class – Fairmont’s own 4.6L division continues to grow, offering cost-effective, competitive racing that showcases rising local talent.
“We’re more than ready to fire up the 2026 season,” said track officials. “With the Northern Lights Modified Series joining us on night one and all of our weekly classes returning, this opener is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent years.”
